Seeker Classes

Our Seeker classes are designed to give a basic overview of Wicca and witchcraft. Topics include  basic ritual and magickal theory, manners and ethics, bringing magick into the mundane and personal power issues.

These classes cover much the same material as many introductory books, but allow you to learn in an interactive setting from teachers and other students as well. They also provide you with plenty of time to ask questions or get more information about other local events and resources. We have been offering our Seeker classes as a service to the community since 1998.

When classes meet:
We offer Seeker classes at least twice a year, more often depending on interest. There are five classes in the series, with  meetings about every other week for 1.5-2 hours. We try to alternate between week nights and Sunday afternoons, depending on interest and available space. Dates may also vary a little depending on available space at the locations we use.

Location:
Seeker classes meet in a public meeting room either in St. Paul (near Lake Como) or in Minneapolis (Dinkytown) depending on space availability.

Cost:
There is no charge for classes. We do appreciate it when those who can donate do so (this helps cover the cost of photocopies and other expenses). The suggested donation is $5 a class or other group event.

Assignments:
During class, we ask students to read two books (accompanied by two short related assignments.)These are Amber K's True Magick and Robin Wood's When, Why.. If. These assignments are not required unless you are interested in applying for further training with the group, but are designed to be useful to everyone, no matter what path they end up on. We mention them here in case you want to pick up a copy before attending Seeker class. Stores in town (check our links page) usually stock them, or can order them for you.

Interested?
Please send an email to our contact address so that we know about your interest and how to reach you. (Email is our preferred announcement method).  We'll get back to you with an idea of when the next series will likely start, or dates if it is already scheduled. We're also glad to talk about any questions you may have about our group or our Seeker classes
